Hi, I’m Kat! I have been an artist of one stripe or another my entire life, and after struggling with many health issues over the years, I’ve had to find how to make my way in this world without a standard job. I’ve always been a big fan of science fiction and fascinated with the night sky. In late 2017, I put brush to canvas again for the first time in many years in hopes of painting a memory of the sky when I was growing up, and I accidentally rediscovered my happy place.
When an opportunity to exhibit my art came up in December 2018, I jumped on it. My paintings “Finding My Voice” and “My Transformation” exhibited at the Opposition Gallery Series’ “The Space Between” Pre-Exhibition and Art Soiree. In January 2019, my paintings “Big Sky Country,” “Jupiter Rising,” and “Blue Giant” exhibited during OGS’s “The Space Between” event.
Since then, I have successfully opened an ETSY store, using a Print-on-Demand service, where I made enough money to launch my own website and store. I have been gaining a strong following for both my nerdy graphic designs and my beautiful paintings of night skies both near and far.
I truly am at my happiest when sitting at a canvas or creating graphic designs on my computer, and someday dream of having one of my paintings on the cover of a New York Times bestselling science fiction novel.
